Trying to understand the difference between the 2 as we are using PHP55 and I noticed this.

Have you read the FAQ - Difference between php-* and php##-php-* packages ?

And the Wizard will give you the version to use

Laptop:  Fedora 38 + rpmfusion + remi (SCL only)
x86_64 builder: Fedora 39 + rpmfusion + remi-test
aarch64 builder: RHEL 9 with EPEL
Hosting Server: CentOS 8 Stream with EPEL, rpmfusion, remi
