Topic: Help OCS Inventory

hello remi,
I'm having some trouble understanding some things in OCS Inventory.
Could you help me? I'm in an environment with a windows 2003 server with AD, one hundred and OCS 5.0 with some Windows XP machines. All in a VMware.
The agent of the OCS is not collecting the information and the date of AssetTag bios.
I'm with the latest version, installed through its repository.

Would help me in this case?
I tried to use the parameter / biosfunc and / dmi and nothing.
Ocs tried the forum but had no return.

Sorry my english

Re: Help OCS Inventory

This forum is only for users of my RPM repository.

I can also help a little with Free software and Linux.

I can't do anything for Windows users.

Re: Help OCS Inventory

My case is not related to problems with windows.
I use their rpm. I did the installation of OCS and GLPI Through your repository.
As you worked and made these repositories, I thought it might know why agents are not collecting AssetTag.

need to take this doubt.

Re: Help OCS Inventory

Sorry to hijack the thread, but I think I am experiencing the same problem.

Using CentOS 5.4 / OCS v1.3.2 / GLPI v0.78 / OCSMassImporter v1.4.

It seems the 'TAG' field from OCS is no longer being pulled into the GLPI (it seemed fine before the recent upgrade from GLPI v0.72.4 and OCSMassImporter v1.3).

In the GLPI...Setup...OCSNG Mode... I have assigned the 'Inventory number' to be populated by the OCS 'TAG' field (as it was pre-upgrade).

If I clear the 'Inventory number' from a computer in GLPI, then wait for the importer to resync, it fails to pull in the TAG value into the computer's 'Inventory number'.

Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Thanks.

Elliot

Then, this field is lock (manual input have priority)

=> unlock it in the "OCSNG" tab

But it will not be updated on "normal" sync, only if it changes in OCS, or if you "force" sync.
