Topic: mysql downgrade
Bonjour Remi,
OS: CentOS 5.3
I needed a later version of php, so I install 5.3 from your depo:
yum --enablerepo=remi update php
MySQL then did not match, so i updated:
yum --enablerepo=remi update mysql
Everything was fine. Then I find out the php 5.3 breaks
Joomla, which one of our hosting clients was using, so I
downgrade php 5.3 to 5.2.11:
yum --enablerepo=remi remove php\*
yum --enablerepo=remi --exclude=php*5.3* install php php-mbstring php-pear php-mysql php-ldap php-mcypt php-pear-MDB2 phpmyadmin
Now everything is fine with Joomla, but I get this warning from phpmyadmin:
"Your PHP MySQL library version 5.0.67 differs from your MySQL server version 5.1.40. This may cause unpredictable behavior."
My question: Should I be concerned? If so, how should I proceed?
Thank you for your assistance.
Regards,
Greg
