Topic: libsodium for PHP 7.3

Hello remi,

Given that the libsodium extension `1.0.7` is not compatible with PHP 7.3 , it is possible to use a newer version namely anything greater than `1.0.9` which might work.

it looks like you are confused between the library version and the extension version

(the extension  is in the php-sodium package)

Laptop:  Fedora 38 + rpmfusion + remi (SCL only)
x86_64 builder: Fedora 39 + rpmfusion + remi-test
aarch64 builder: RHEL 9 with EPEL
Hosting Server: CentOS 8 Stream with EPEL, rpmfusion, remi
