Topic: Remi update caused ALL PHP logins to stop working

Running CentOS Linux release 8.4.2105

Had a remi update to 8.0.10-2 and it appears that my Wordpress logins simply circle back.

Tried getting into phpMyadmin and the login there does the same thing.

I am believing that something in this update has caused a problem.

Are there any more reports of this?

Furthermore, my plugin that does backups of my Wordpress is not able to access my system.

Anyone have any suggestions as to what to look for here?

This is, obviously, not just a Wordpress problem.

Thanks,

Greg G.

Re: Remi update caused ALL PHP logins to stop working

Need to be able to reproduce (various apps works for me, including Wordpress and phpMyAdmin)

Sadly, 8.0.10RC1 was released 2 weeks ago (and RPM available in my "testing" repository) and nobody complains about any regression.

Laptop:  Fedora 38 + rpmfusion + remi (SCL only)

aarch64 builder: RHEL 9 with EPEL
Hosting Server: CentOS 8 Stream with EPEL, rpmfusion, remi

Re: Remi update caused ALL PHP logins to stop working

Just run a test on a fresh install

- CentOS 8.4 + all updates
- PHP 8.0.10
- Wordpress 5.8
- phpMyAdmin 5.1.1

Everything works as expected
