Topic: memcached-1.6.15 missing SRPM

Bonjour Remi,

Thank you for your work!

I was looking for memcached 1.6.15 SRPM but was not able to find it. The RPMs for both 1.6.14 and 1.6.15 are available, but the SRPM is only available for versions 1.6.8 through 1.6.14.

1.6.15 RPM was added 6 weeks ago at 04.04.2022, commit: https://git.remirepo.net/cgit/rpms/memc … be82cac2a0 but the SRPM seems to be missing.

Re: memcached-1.6.15 missing SRPM

Hi,

Indeed, I forgot to move it from my local sources to the repository.

Fixed.

BTW, if you have found the git, you don't really need the SRPM wink

For my curiosity, why do you need the SRPM ?
Aren't the available binary RPMS enough ?

Laptop:  Fedora 38 + rpmfusion + remi (SCL only)
x86_64 builder: Fedora 39 + rpmfusion + remi-test
aarch64 builder: RHEL 9 with EPEL
Hosting Server: CentOS 8 Stream with EPEL, rpmfusion, remi

Thanks a lot!

We are using the SRPMs simply to build the target RPMs. We have the SRPMs stored in our git repositories so that we can easily rebuild them later for other platforms when needed.

We can create the SRPM ourselves, but using your repos is more convenient and consistent. I wasn't sure whether there was a problem with the SRPM that you were working on so I figured it'll be best for both of us if I asked and confirmed that it's not the case.
