Topic: Stable firefox fc6/el5 builds, please post src.rpm

Hello Remi,
I've been using your fc6 firefox builds on CentOS 5.2 aka el5 for some time. They work well.
Unfortunately you've now stopped building these rpms in favour of beta software and 3.0.11 has critical security fixes which need to be applied.

Normally that wouldn't be a problem as I could just update your src.rpm myself and rebuild a current stable RPM in my build environment.

The current stable src.rpm seems to be missing from your repository.

Could you please post firefox-3.0.9-1.fc6.remi.src.rpm or at least the SPEC file with any patches so I can update it myself?

Thanks,
Robert Hardy

I really don't understand why you need to do this, as Redhat (and so CentOS) provides firefox 3.0.10 in their official repositories.

So take the SRPM from CentOS
firefox-3.0.10-1.el5.centos.src.rpm

And I'm quite sure 3.0.11 will come very soon, if you are really in a hurry, you can take the update in Fedora :
firefox-3.0.11-1.fc10.src.rpm
(this link is from the build system, update not yet published, in "pending" state)

My packages are always based on this SRPM (modified spec with same patches)

Oh, you're quite right. Apparently my mirror never pulled in Centos 5.3, hence my confusion.
I'll grab it from another mirror. Thanks for the info.
