Topic: PHP 5.3.3 for CentOS 7

My server has crashed and I *urgently* need to get back to PHP 5.3.3 on CentOS 7.
I have been trying for days and am really stuck sad

I am not very technical but i managed to install your "/etc/yum.repos.d/remi.repo"

Please can you help me install PHP 5.3.3 and all its mysql, gd, libraries etc.

PLEASE!

Re: PHP 5.3.3 for CentOS 7

Sorry, but I have never provided PHP 5.3 for CentOS 7

Stock version is 5.4.16
PHP 5.3 does not even build on this distribution (need some patches for recent libraries)

I only provide "newer" version (so 5.5, 5.6 and 7.0)

Simple way use CentOS 6 (stock version is 5.3.3)

Other way: use Docker, see http://developerblog.redhat.com/2014/12 … in-docker/ (this exact use case)

Laptop:  Fedora 38 + rpmfusion + remi (SCL only)
x86_64 builder: Fedora 39 + rpmfusion + remi-test
aarch64 builder: RHEL 9 with EPEL
Hosting Server: CentOS 8 Stream with EPEL, rpmfusion, remi

Re: PHP 5.3.3 for CentOS 7

My hosting company supports following OS:

CentOS 7.2 minimal
Debian 8.3 LAMP
Debian 8.3 minimal
openSUSE 42.1 minimal
Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS minimal
Ubuntu 15.10 minimal

Which OS is the best one to enable me to install PHP 5.3.3 ?

I have to install 5.3.3 - please

Re: PHP 5.3.3 for CentOS 7

AFAIK, None of these distributions provide PHP 5.3.3

So CentOS 7.2 + Docker seems the way to go

Laptop:  Fedora 38 + rpmfusion + remi (SCL only)
x86_64 builder: Fedora 39 + rpmfusion + remi-test
aarch64 builder: RHEL 9 with EPEL
Hosting Server: CentOS 8 Stream with EPEL, rpmfusion, remi

Re: PHP 5.3.3 for CentOS 7

I am looking at this page.
http://blog.remirepo.net/post/2014/12/1 … -in-Docker

Can you update the code and tell me exactly what to type in PUTTY in CentOS to fix my problem

Thank you so much

Re: PHP 5.3.3 for CentOS 7

Sorry, but can't help you more, you have to learn how to use Docker.
