When trying to update the mysql suite from

5.5.59-1.el6.remi to 5.5.60-1.el6.remi with the following packages

mysql-5.5.60-1.el6.remi.x86_64
mysql-bench-5.5.60-1.el6.remi.x86_64
mysql-devel-5.5.60-1.el6.remi.x86_64
mysql-libs-5.5.60-1.el6.remi.x86_64
mysql-server-5.5.60-1.el6.remi.x86_64
mysql-test-5.5.60-1.el6.remi.x86_64

Yum hangs on running transaction test

tried to update with only mysql mysql-libs mysql-server only.. I got the same results

strace  yum update -y produces a whole lot of error mesages about databases that no longer exit
