Topic: Fresh Install on Test Server

First off, I am very new to CentOS and Linux in general.  I have built a playground server and have successfully installed CentOS 5.7 from the Centos repository of the web 3 times on it.  However, I will need to update php to 5.3 (not available from the Centos repo) and My SQL to 5.0 in order to run some of the new software we are testing.  I have managed to mangle the server up pretty good so I plan on doing a fresh install.  Is there a way to perform an installation of the web using the remi repo like I can with the Cent repo?  Again, I am new to all this but it just seems cleaner since I will be performing a fresh install to install from the remi repo which I will end up using anyway.  Perhaps I don't fully understand, so if you have insight please share.

Thanks
A
