And because Oracle does an awful job... libmysqlclient have same soname (.18) than 5.5... need to ensure that all is "really" ABI compatible...

They already did it at 5.1 / 5.5 upgrade, and change it after a few minor release (between 5.5.9 and 5.5.10)

With MySQL 5.6, there seems to be some improvements for servers with more than 16 cores.

MariaDB 10 is faster than MySQL 5.6.
