Topic: firefox 18.0.2 not being seen

i have two centos 6 x86_64 systems, one of which sees the firefox 18.0.2 package just fine, but the other does not. on the one that does not see firefox, it does see the xulrunner-last 18.0.2, which it updated to and then led to a version mismatch. i have run yum clean all and verified that the cached sqlite db is the same between the hosts. i can even see the 18.0.2 firefox in the sqlite db on the host that won't update to it.

i do use:
includepkgs=firefox thunderbird xul*

in the remi repo file on both systems. i just ran yum-debug-dump and on the system that is happy i see all the appropriate packages listed in the remi repo, but on the other box, all that shows up for remi are the xul packages.

i am very confused. any hints of what i might have done wrong? or is there something wrong with the repo metadata?

Re: firefox 18.0.2 not being seen

Any yum plugins installed (such as priorities) ?
Post the full output of the yum command.

Re: firefox 18.0.2 not being seen

that was it, i somehow had gotten protectbase installed on the misbehaving system. once i removed that, things were fine.
